Esra Alhamal

Dr. Esra Alhamal is the Managing Director of the School of Calligraphy and Ornamentation in Fujairah, where she leads initiatives in heritage preservation and arts education. A Saudi artist, author, educator, and podcaster, she holds a PhD from London with a specialisation in Islamic ornamentation. Her book Islamic Biomorphic Patterns was published in 2025. She also hosts the Art Illuminated and Golden Pages podcasts, which focus on traditional arts and cultural storytelling.
